- Paris : Dunod, cop. 2012 . - 1 vol. Travail du papierIndex. décimale : 745.54 Travail du papier Résumé :
This book offers a practical and clear-cut beginners guide to the basics of paper engineering.
It begins by explaining the foundational techniques, and goes on to show the reader how to apply them in creative and fun ways by trying different variations and combinations to achieve an endless array of pop-up designs both simple and complex.
Seven element spreads are broken down into different types of folds and mechanisms.
Each spread demonstrates these elements and instructs the reader on how to construct the examples, which are designed to show the variations of the fold type or mechanic. Each of the seven element spreads has two detachable sections of card that can be removed by tearing carefully along the perforated edge and then pushing out the separate parts.
Instructions on the accompanying pages explain how to construct the pop-ups and show how each element works.Paper engeneering for designers : Pop-up skills ans techniques [texte imprimé] / Keith Finch, Auteur . - London, : Thames and Hudson, 2013 . - 23 p. : Pop-ups ; 30 cm.

Paper: Tear, Fold, Rip, Crease, Cut focuses on all aspects of paper manipulation. The book covers a wide range of techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, paper folding, cut-out, pop-up, and installation. Paper is one of the world's oldest materials and still one of the most widely used and this book celebrates paper in all its glory, providing an analogue remedy to the digital world.

With an unparalleled collection of new and groundbreaking projects, Papercraft 2 is an inspiring up-to-the-minute survey of current developments in contemporary design with paper.
In addition to more outstanding 3D graphic design, illustration, complex spatial installations, objets d’art, and motion design, the book and free included bonus DVD present work from an even broader range of creative disciplines including scenography, fashion design, and advertising, which have discovered the versatility of this basic material in the last few years.
