Scénographie d'exposition -- Jura (Suisse)Index. décimale : 747 Architecture d'intérieur Note de contenu : Spaces can’t speak. Nevertheless, they can tell stories. Bordering the small town of Le Brassus in the Swiss Jura mountains, a sensational museum opened this year. It turns the history of the two watchmaker families Audemars and Piguet into a sensory experience. For the interiors of the spiral building volume created by BIG, Atelier Brückner designed a narrative scenography that celebrates the precision of the craft of watchmaking in systematically ordered narrative sections.
However, the quest for a thrilling dramaturgy isn’t determined exclusively by time’s linear progression, and the dramatisation of spaces offers manifold opportunities. The projects and topics presented in this issue of Detail Interiors demonstrate this circumstance. For a roof extension in Munich’s Maxvorstadt quarter, Pool Leber Architekten developed tailor-made built-in furniture that offers a high degree of flexibility in a freely flowing spatial continuum. The curved shapes that David Adjaye composed for the flagship store of The Webster comprise a perfectly balanced sculpture made of pink-tinted concrete with a timeless and mysterious impression. Multi-dimensional spatial concepts can benefit the work atmosphere, even during the coronavirus pandemic. The interior designers Karim El-Ishmawi and Chris Middleton of Kinzo explain why in our in-depth interview.En ligne : https://www.detail-online.com/magazine/detail-interiors-2-2020/ [n° ou bulletin] 02/2020 - 2020-11-01 - Seoul, Berlin und Linz : Die neue Normalität im Office = Seoul, Berlin and Linz : The New Normal of the Office World [texte imprimé] . - 2020.

Urbanisme durable -- 21e siècleIndex. décimale : 72 Architecture Note de contenu : If the aim is net zero, demolition and landfill disposal must be avoided at all costs. Today, a progressive architecture is one that takes part in the circular economy and reuses building materials. This issue presents buildings designed with this in mind: Powerhouse Company’s Floating Office in Rotterdam can be moved as a whole or disassembled into reusable elements. In Basel, Baubüro In Situ mainly used recycled building components to refurbish and extend the Elys cultural and commercial building. In Amsterdam, Cepezed designed a temporary court-house whose dismantling and relocation were planned from the outset. Our special Green section rounds out this look at the circular economy by addressing buildings’ energy consumption. Enjoy the issue! PolycarbonatesIndex. décimale : 72 Architecture Résumé : The Path to a New Architecture
While compiling our personal favourites of the year in the Detail editorial office, I was surprised at the vast scope of projects my colleagues had experienced in 2022. For this issue’s review of the year, they describe their architectural observations in places like Jerusalem, Berlin, and Montagnana, Italy. Together, their discoveries form a kaleidoscope of surprises and thought-provoking insights. And so do our interviews with the architects of the winning projects of the Detail Award 2022. Are we indeed on the verge of a turning point that will fundamentally transform architecture? For Markus Zilker of Einzueins Architektur, who designed the Gleis 21 housing project, winning the Detail award is a call to action: “We must become much more effective if we want comprehensive social and ecological transformation,” says the Vienna-based architect. Our Documentation section focuses on this issue’s main theme of building envelopes. It highlights projects that have, each in their own way, already set out on the path to a new architectural era – also in terms of their construction details.En ligne : https://www.detail.de/en/de_en/detail-12-22 [n° ou bulletin] 12.2022 - 2022-12-09 - Gebäudehüllen = Building Envelopes [texte imprimé] . - 2022.

Revêtements murauxIndex. décimale : 72 Architecture Résumé : Anyone who follows the debates on building materials in architecture inevitably encounters the term "material justice". This refers to the relationship of individual materials to their appropriate tasks and application scenarios. At present, the discussion about material justice is determined by many aspects that were not up for debate 100 years ago. The energy consumption of buildings, the life cycle of materials and their gray energy are fixed parameters for an architecture that takes responsibility in climate issues.
Not every material scores in this regard, like wood as a renewable resource. Concrete also makes sense on a case-by-case basis, especially with regard to energy consumption and the climate region of the building. Overall, it is crucial that energy and material concepts are carefully coordinated and take concrete requirements and uses into account.
For this issue, our editor Julia Liese has compiled current projects made of wood and reinforced concrete, brick and corten steel - the climate data are documented in each case as well. And as different as the materials and surfaces of the selected buildings are, as versatile are their construction solutions.En ligne : https://www.detail.de/en/de_en/detail-4-23 [n° ou bulletin] 4.2023 - 2023-04-09 - Materal, Oberfläche = Materials, Surfaces [texte imprimé] . - 2023.
