Voyages d'affaires -- Montréal (Canada)Index. décimale : 747 Architecture d'intérieur Note de contenu : Persistent clichés may suggest otherwise, but South Tyrol is a travel destination that offers more than just an opportunity for contemplative hiking. In addition, global trends have arrived here. For the tourism industry, it has become a year-round travel destination, aimed at outdoor enthusiasts as well as visitors interested in local culture. The range of hotel services is equally international — but often, all too conforming in terms of design. Yet, examples exist that “draw their identity from a diligent deliberation on the local context and traditions and have produced a corresponding contemporary language of forms”, as Claudia Fuchs concludes in her essay on “New Hotel Architecture in South Tyrol”.
Elsewhere, current trends show how regional specificity and built archetypes are translated into ambitiously designed interior spaces. The projects presented in this issue of Detail Inside on hotels and holiday homes demonstrate this fact. In Montréal, ACDF Architecture orchestrate a thrilling dialogue between the Hotel Monville and the contextual features of its surroundings. Sugawaradaisuke Architects conceptualize a holiday home in Nagano, Japan — within a tiny space, yet with sophisticated views to the exterior. Aebi & Vincent Architekten demonstrate how a building ensemble from the 1950s was carefully renovated and expanded by creating an addition to the youth hostel in Bern.En ligne : https://www.detail-online.com/en/magazine/inside-22019-35011/ [n° ou bulletin] 02/2019 - 2019-12-01 - Hotels und Ferienhaüser = Hotels and Holiday Homes [texte imprimé] . - 2019 . - : ill. en coul., couv. ill. en coul.

Typologie (architecture)Index. décimale : 72 Architecture Résumé : This issue of DETAIL is the reflection of a new beginning: Few sectors of the economy have been as battered by the Corona pandemic in recent years as the hotel industry.
Many of the concepts with which hotels, hostels, and guesthouses are steering into the future have been on the horizon for some time: more individualization, more experiential character, more storytelling, and more Instagram-ready imagery. The chain hotel with a uniform look is not dead yet. But the hotels of the new generation are increasingly staging their location and its history, letting their guests immerse themselves in other worlds and travel through space and time. In her essay, Sandra Hofmeister uses four current examples to analyze how this works. The other projects we present in this issue also tell their own stories.En ligne : https://www.detail.de/en/de_en/aktuelle-ausgabe-3-2023 [n° ou bulletin] 3.2023 - 2023-03-09 - Konzept = Concept : Hotels, Hostels, Gästehaüser = Hotels, Hostels, Guesthouses [texte imprimé] . - 2023.

The Documentation section, for example, includes the Caminito del Rey through the Gaitanes Gorge in southern Spain and the Wadden Sea Centre on the west coast of Denmark. In addition, we present details of the Mountain Restaurant in Obereggen in the Dolomites and the cabins of the Colorado Building Workshop in the Rocky Mountains. Our theme this month is complemented by a Technology article that explores the different forms assumed by facade planting.
