Résumé : |
Art historian Leena Lindqvist and photographer Norman Ojanen present six of the artists' homes which, since their construction at the turn of the century, have become a permanent part of Finland’s cultural history. In their natural settings, these houses and the lives of the artists’ families who inhabited them are a source of fascinating stories embracing ordinary day-to-day work, celebrations and even some unusual twists of fate.
Contents: Suviranta (Studio Residence of Eero and Saimi Järnefelt, Järvenpää); Ainola (Jean and Aino Sibelius, Järvenpää); Halosenniemi (Pekka and Maija Halonen, Tuusula); Harjula (Emil Cedercreutz, Harjavalta); Visavuori (Emil and Alice Wikström, Sääksmäki); Hvitträsk (Herman Gesellius, Armas Lindgren and Eliel Saarinen, Kirkkonummi). |
